In this case you will need to purchase a Kinect power supply to use the sensor on your computer. If you obtained your Kinect as part of an Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle, you might not have a Kinect power supply. The cable from the power supply includes a USB plug that can be fitted safely into a computer. Instead, use the Kinect power supply that is connected between the Kinect plug and the USB connection on your computer.
